Presented from a neurodiverse child’s point of view, this short film invites viewers to notice the sights, sounds, and emotions that can impact one's ability to participate in worship, hindered or unhindered. It serves as a powerful discussion starter for congregations to consider what full access to worship means for neurodiverse children who long to encounter God but sometimes find the experience overwhelming.
Take an honest and heartfelt look at how families with neurodivergent members experience worship, congregational life, and Christian community. Through the lived experiences of three families, viewers are invited into real stories of faith, challenge, and hope. Each family represents a different stage of life: one with an elementary-aged child, one with a teenager, and one with a post-graduate adult. Explore making room for one another—removing barriers and the hope that grows when we do.
This video presents a foundational understanding of neurodiversity while exploring how differences in thinking, learning, and sensory experience shape individuals' engagement with worship, community, and faith. The conversation will deepen awareness, challenge assumptions, and begin imagining more inclusive congregational practices for neurodiverse individuals of all ages, especially children.
